www.plotaroute.com/route/1947934We are trying a new departure point to give us a slightly different range and hopefully a few new roads for you. The start point is from the Jolly Sailor Brewery/Olympia pub, 77 Barlby Rd, Selby YO8 5AB. There is sufficient free car parking for 6 or so cars. The only request is that we dont block the entrance to the brewery for deliveries. Please arrive at the start point to leave by 9am. The route is approx 87 miles long, and does a circuit of the main feeder rivers into the Humber estuary. There is an awkward stretch for approx 3 miles along the A645 from Cambleforth to Goole (and cycle paths in parts). The first stop is Goole (15 miles) for a brew at numerous cafes on Boothferry road (not checked or booked), There is a highly rated transport cafe at flixborough 36 miles if desperation sets in. At 48 miles its sarny time at Barton Waterside to see old coastguard station which is now a cafe for a brew, (also public toilets) then winding our way back following route 65 from Hessle to Howdon (for any facilites). Hopefully it isnt wet or suffer any unwanted attention from cattle when we cross the field at Hemingborough. And then, maybe, a lemonade at the end. any questions please contact Roger Bilsby
