Group 3 Ride to Fewston - 27th July 73miles - 4000ft climb Forgotten how nice this ride is until I did it a couple of weeks ago. For the optimists, no climbing before coffee, steady climbing from coffee to lunch and downhill all the way home. For the pessimists; relentless climbing from coffee to lunch and a steep climb up to the cycle path at Hampsthwaite. Out via Askham Bryan and Wighill for coffee in Wetherby. Fewston via Kirby Overblow and Sicklinghall - I have suggested an optional loop DOWN to the lakes for sandwiches and back UP to the Sun Inn to join diners. Home via Hampsthwaite, Ripley and Knaresborough. Wetherby_FewstonFinal.gpx (214.3 KB)

The last time I went on that ride the dining was being done by a flock of about 10 red kites just by the pub - a wonderful sight.
