This is a ride to Britains most important Mesolithic site. The site requires some imagination - the attached link provides more detail archaeology.co.uk/articles/features/life-beside-the-lake.htmThe route is 87 miles, (about 1000 mts ascent), elevenses at Malton, 47 miles to Lake Flixton (4 miles on A64, think it might be cycle path but dont know quality). We can eat lunch on the outdoor seating at the rear of the Foxhound pub in Flixton. While sarnies are the norm, the pub has an excellent takeaway chippy and will also sell tea and coffee. 40 miles return. Wind predicted to be NNE. www.plotaroute.com/map/2000233
