North Yorkshire County Council has issued a Traffic Regulation Order closing this road (to enable repairs to the bridge), running from 9th September to 8th March 2022. No, that's not a typo: 2022!!
If that road is unavailable it will impact route choices for a lot of rides venturing north of the Hambleton Hills. Does anyone know the actual current status? Is it possible to pass through by bike, even if wheeling it dismounted?

21st Oct. Went through here today. Bridge closed to cars. One parapet is down. You can easily squeeze through barrier on bikes. There is a temp bridge for workers which cyclists can use.

When Nick and I went through on Wednesday we thought that the temporary bridge wasn’t accessible to us. However, we walked our bikes over the main bridge as instructed by the signs. No problems getting by though.

I passed this way today and, other than that the temporary bridge was still in place, every indication was that the works were complete. The bridge was open to all traffic, and there were no signs for closures or diversions.
