In need of a slice of urban sophistication ? Well, can't offer that but we can go to Leeds, which is the next best thing. To be fair, Roundhay Park is a lovely place to stop for a while and have lunch and the route is mainly rural. So - out via Askham Bryan, Wighill and on to Morrison's at Wetherby for elevenses. On via Linton (the one where all the footballers live) and East Keswick to Roundhay. Lunch overlooking the lake, either sandwiches or Lakeside Cafe. Also takeaway teas etc available. Back on your gallant steed to Barwick in Elmet, Tad and Appleton Roebuck and on to our fair city. 57 miles. 2500 ft of climbing.
