Please NOTE This is a NEW SHORTER ROUTE to that posted previously. This is due to the time of year with diminishing natural light levels.
Todays ride takes us out of York via Dunnington, Claxton, Flaxton, Thornton-le-Clay, Bulmer Bank, Terrington and on to Hovingham for elevenses at The Park Cafe distance 27 miles. After a short break over a cuppa we continue via Yearsley, Newburgh Priory, Thornton Hill and on to Easingwold 15 miles, where we will stop for our packed lunch and another cuppa if we feel like it. The final route home takes us via Alne, Linton-on-Ouse, Newton-on-Ouse, Shipton and finally York 20 miles. The overall distance is 62 miles with approx 2,800ft of ascent. Please ignore the ascent stated on Plotaroute as I believe it to be over stated.
As on previous 1a Rides we recommend you to take a packed lunch as we will not be stopping for a formal lunch on route.
The plotaroute for today's ride is as the enclosed link
