Just a reminder that all ride leaders should have received an email with a link to the e-learning course for leaders. If you have not received the email from Cycling UK, please let me or Patrick Hollier know so that we can check your registration. I've completed the course and it takes around 75 minutes but you don't need to complete it in one go. Also attached is the rides program for Feb and March. There are still TWELVE rides that need a leader, so I would appreciate if anyone can step forward to fill some of these gaps Rides Feb and March.xls (112 KB) Finally we are always looking for more leaders, so if there's anyone out there that feels that they could take on the role of a ride leader, please contact Patrick or myself and we can talk you through the roles and responsibilities and hopefully get you leading some rides. I'd just second Colin's comment on leading. If there are any riders out there that would be willing to lead rides but are nervous about what's involved feel free to have a quiet chat with me or one of the other existing leaders. It's really not an onerous task. It can be fun getting to pick routes you fancy or stopping off at vantage points where you can share an interest. A number of us are very willing to help mentor your first go at leading. I'm usually in the Square early on Wednesdays if you want to catch me. Richard of York
