******PLEASE NOTE CHANGE AS QUARMBY'S IS CLOSED***** The elevenses cafe stop will now be in the Sports Bar at Sandburn Hall. They have confirmed they can do muffins, cakes, bacon butties - though not scones or teacakes, I'm afraid. Hot drinks available and it will at least be warm, though unfortunately a little early in the ride (11 miles). From there the rest of the ride is as below. ****ORIGINAL POST***A change to the suggested route. Out via Haxby, Strensall and Flaxton for elevenses at Quarmby's in Sheriff Hutton. Onwards via Whenby and Brandsby for lunch at Fika in Easingwold. Back via Bohemia or potentially via Alne and Newton if light, weather, floods and group thoughts allow. Bohemia wet last week but passable, so should be a bit better this week. A few hills, some nice quietish and hopefully dry roads, good cafes, what's not to like. Thanks to Russell for putting this route together before Christmas. 43 miles. Leader Nick Wilson 07970 686115. www.plotaroute.com/route/2482592?units=miles

Thank you Andrew R for letting me know that Quarmby's is closed for the next few weeks. I'll post again when I think of an alternative.
